Welcome to Philip Dawson's Web Site!!!

I'm just an everyday guy with four kids of my own and two more from my soon to be second marriage. They all enjoy the stories I've made up and this site is dedicated to getting them in print. I've told them over and over again, but figured if I take the time to write them down, others may enjoy them too!

Enough about me; let's get on with the stories! The first series is about a truck driver named Zulu who constantly finds himself in the same predicament when he stops to help out a pretty young lady. He always finds a clever solution and kids always enjoy the story lines.

The second series is about Johnny, a little boy whose parents both work. Most kids can identify with the Johnny stories because he's at daycare most of the day just like they are. I don't know of any popular author who targets kids in daycare which amazes me since so many children (including mine when they were young) go to a day care facility while their parents work.

The third series blends the real with the imaginary. In Tom's world a dinosaur might play a role or he might find himself 12 feet tall for a day. Kids have a great imagination and find themselves wrapped up in these stories even though they're purely for fun.

The final group of stories are a hodgepodge of everything else that's left. You'll find Theresa the tadpole in a drying-up pond, Andy the ant at the top of a tree, or twin girls finding a diamond ring and debating what to do with it. There's no theme here at all - just a fair number of fun to read (out loud especially) stories.

One day I hope that some of these stories find their way to a publishing company. My dream, and I realize it's just that, is to walk into a Barnes and Noble and see some of my books on the shelf. Now THAT would be neat!

I hope you enjoy reading these stories online as much as I enjoy telling them and children enjoy hearing them.
